An Easy World

Milestone #3

I love this age, between 6 and 9 months, when babies really begin to engage and interact with you and the toys they play with. Lately the mancub has worked out how to push and pull levers and buttons on his toys that make music come on or get something to move, and he has signals if he wants you to do something again, like building a tower for him to knock down.

He also has a number of games he likes to play, such as Peepo in the mirror, as I guess he is beginning to recognise himself as the baby he keeps seeing. He is beginning to copy us too, his favourites being cocking his head to one side and clapping his hands on his legs. Then this morning, we got what was almost certainly a wave. It could have just been him flailing his arms about, but I’m pretty sure it was a wave :)

He is ready to play.
